Untamed Shrew Productions is the home of new work by writer Victoria Grainger.  Untamed Shrew aims to be involving, evolving, revolving, absorbing, funny, runny, emotional, notional, meaningful, visual, get-you-in-a-tizual, thought-provoking, heart-aching, heart-breaking, well-crafted, well-acted, well-designed, well-alligned theatre (Breathe). 

The dictionary will tell you that a 'shrew' is a tiny, mouse like animal. What it won't tell you is what is most heartbreaking about the shrew. It won't tell you that it has only a very tiny stomach and is subsequently always hungry. It won't tell you that's the reason why it screams.Why it's always screaming. A shrill, piercing, echoing scream. An endlessly, relentlessly hungry wail.

The Shrews you'll find on these pages and in the plays you come to are hungry too. But the noise these make are different. Listen. Can you hear it? The shuffle of a collective of Shrews scurrying across the pages of virtual rooms and into theatres where we'll meet. They have a hunger. And are making a sound. Can you hear it? Maybe it's not coming from us. Maybe it's the sound of curiosity. Maybe it's you.

Frenetic and animated the Shrew scurries down corridors chasing echoes of dormant potential, eyes alight on the sparkling splinters of stories, intent on catching the glinting shards from the buds of promise. Follow us...
